Community Netball
Netball Round-up
The Dunholme & Welton Community netball group had a social evening on 30th January at Dough Loco, (White Hart) Nettleham to celebrate the final results of the Cherry Willingham (Wednesday) Winter League. Welton Wildcats were presented with the trophy for the top team of the Community Group teams in that league and Hatty Seddon (Dunholme Diamonds) was awarded ‘Most Improved Shooter’.
The group currently practices at Cherry Willingham Pembroke Academy Sports Hall on Saturdays. Please contact Eloise Rimmer on Facebook if you want to join.
Congratulations to William Farr students, Sophie Hotchkin and Mia Sherry who play for Lincoln City U14 A team which is currently placed first in the East Midland Junior league by such a margin that they cannot be caught and toppled from their position by remaining matches! Well done girls,
Brigg & District Netball Club have been short-listed for the Kings Award for Voluntary Clubs. It is an excellent Club with outstanding coaches – well worth consideration for parents looking for a netball club for their children as there is no England Netball affiliated club in West Lindsey as yet. It takes both boys and girls from Yr 2 upwards.
Contact Vanessa McErlain-Naylor (07836 598027) for further details.
